Closed Questions: Pre-defined answers to choose from as opposed to open questions, which typically are written replies.
Cloud Host: A cloud host is a server that provides hosting services, frequently Web hosting, to customers via multiple connected servers that comprise a cloud.
CMS: Content Management System (such as WordPress), to publish web pages with no need for HTML editing.
CSS: Cascading Style Sheet, for central formatting of multiple web pages.
Dashboard: Overview of primary system features – typically used with online systems.
Database Server: a computer system that processes database queries.
Domain Name: Domain names are used to identify one or more IP addresses. For example, the domain name represents about a dozen IP addresses. Domain names are used in URLs to identify particular Web pages.
Dynamic Page: Webpage with content generated by admin or user input.
Filters: Used for refining searches.
Google Analytics: Online tool for tracking activity on a website.
Hosting Services: A service provider that offers shared hosting or dedicated hosting of a service or services to customers. Hosting services are most often used for hosting Web sites but can also be used for hosting files, images, games and similar content.
HTML Editor: Software for generating web pages (such as Adobe Dreamweaver).
HTML: Hypertext Mark-Up Language, controls what is displayed and tagged (such as links) on web pages.
Hyperlink: Link between different pages, websites or areas of a web page (the last is referred to as anchor links)
Intelligent questionnaire: Which questions are asked are based upon previous answers.
M-commerce: Mobile enabled sales.
Online Survey: Distributed questionnaire with collection of answers, usually on a web server.
Print Server: a computer that manages one or more printers, and a network server is a computer that manages network traffic.
Quantitative data: Relatively large amount of data collected, usually based on statistical, closed questions as opposed to qualitative data, which are typically more open to interpretation.
Respondents: People who answered the questions opposed to non-respondents, who did not answer.
Server: A computer or device on a network that manages network resources. There are many different types of servers. File Server: a computer and storage device dedicated to storing files. Any user on the network can store files on the server.
Static Page: Webpage with content generated once, then static.
Tags: Relevant keywords added to an item for reaching it through search engines
Themes: (In software such as WordPress) a special styling for web pages
Traffic Log: List of traffic from a web
Unique Web Site Visits: Visits to a web site by individual persons.
Web Site Visits: Visits to a website, can be by the same persons.
